The Role

The successful candidate will be a proven and highly regarded Project Manager with a solid track record in managing & delivering large scale IT transformations and/or enterprise wide ERP implementations. Solid stakeholder management and business readiness experience is also required. This role has an immediate start and is a contract role for up to 12 months.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the existing Project Team which covers 4 core work streams:

- Technology delivery (led by the Product Manager)

- Business Integration (Business SMEs)

- Testing

- Change Management

  • Own and manage the Project Plan, including scope, schedule, resources, key deliverables for a 2020 solution rollout in SA
  • Manage the Project budget
  • Monitor and control each phase and steps of project implementation according to the approved project plan
  • Manages Project risks/issues/dependencies/decisions and reporting
  • Find solutions to mitigate and/or minimise project risks and other issues
  • Prepare and deliver project management reporting deliverables, including chairing fortnightly Project Control Group (with company's Senior Leadership Team) and attendance/reporting to monthly Steering Committee

Skills & Experience

  • Solid, 10+ years experience project managing Tier 1 ERP implementations
  • A deep understanding of ERP systems and integrated E2E solutions
  • Desirable, although not essential: previous experience in Microsoft AX/Dynamics D365
  • Seasoned in internal and external stakeholder management
  • Experience managing projects in Manufacturing/Supply Chain & Warehousing domain is highly advantageous
  • Solid change management experience covering technical, process and business cultural change
  • Hands-on experience in project/program management, resource planning, reporting, and budgeting
  • Experience with Agile project management methodology
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders such as Senior Leadership Team, Steering Committee and key third party vendors
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Very strong leadership skills
  • Will manage client outcomes and ultimately drive key decisions on behalf of the business
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
